Exit of The Drama Queen

Published by sharlinin under Eh? Edit This

I am all fine now. No worries. I needed to unleash all my pent-up frustrations and wallow in self-pity (and no, it wasn’t just about him). While I did shed a few tears, they weren’t enough to result in swollen, reddish eyes that would have indicated to my parents what I was going through.

My plan worked. My inner creepiness did get him to be frank with me. He had written some things in his first (and probably the last) letter to me which I took literally. He was actually trying to be playful by mentioning things like ‘grandkids’. Well, I didn’t exactly plan all of this. Perhaps my subconscious took over because I was done being in limbo. I couldn’t talk to him on YM because he never did log on. I tried e-mailing him and those ended up unreplied (only because he hadn’t checked his e-mail). I had to do something and I admit it was a little extreme. Extremely creepy. But not Glenn-Close-Fatal-Attraction-Bunny-Boiling creepy. To his benefit, he was apologetic and admitted his mistakes. He still wanted to be friends (but with my confession that I had done it to find out what the situation was - who knows what he wants now).

Whatever happens, I’ll just go with the flow. Let’s hope I get a job at that resort on the island and I can look forward to fresh starts. Meeting new people (who aren’t younger than me), getting a salary again…

I found a protected post that I had written about him and the last line went something like this: “You can’t lose something you never had, can you?” And that is so true. And that is why I’m back to being me. :)

You’d Better Not Read This…

… because it pertains to body hair removal. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!!
The other day, I caught a documentary about Razor Blades/shavers. And they showed this person shaving her underarms. It looked very convenient and fast. Very unlike the method I occasionally used, which is tweezing. It’s a tedious and painstaking process, trust me.

So when I was at Mydin Mall, I decided to check out VEET. I know, it’s got nothing to do with razor blades. After seeing the animation of how a razor burn occurs (just looking at an illustration of skin being sliced off as the blade slides across the area was enough to make me cringe), I decided to not use a razor shaver. I looked at the Razorless Veet thingy and it cost more than RM21! Finally chose to try the new Veet in-shower cream.

I couldn’t understand the vague instructions the first time and the hairs on my legs weren’t any shorter. So I tried again after a few hours. It worked then. The next day, I tried it on my underarms. Everything done in under 5 minutes. Felt fine. Then I left for the training center and opted to leave the Veet behind. The next two days, I felt like I had TWO porcupines/hedgehogs/spiny anteaters under my arms!

Pokey as heck! I would rather go through the hassle of tweezing/using my Braun Silk epil than endure another spiky regrowth episode. At least with tweezing, the hairs took longer to regrow and they had to start from the roots. With creams, the hairs grew from the point where they were cut off, which made them thick and stubble-y.

Okay, I’ll stop now. I am sure that there were people who did not heed my warning earlier. Hope you haven’t been scarred for life. :P

Going back there in 9 hours

And I am NOT looking forward to it! I think my exams are coming up too! Eek!! What to do? There are no tables in the room and it’s either the floor or on the bed if I wanted to write notes. Quite dark on my bed because I’m on the lower bunk. I’m glad I got the lower bunk, because the breeze created by the fan can only be enjoyed by those on the lower bunks. It’s weird.

One full month down, three more months worth of classes and then it’s an additional two months of practical training. It better be worth it since I passed on the chance to be a tour guide. =)

Does anyone know what the above means? I just copied it off the window that was displayed when I clicked the ‘Add image’ link. The only Chinese characters I recognize are for ‘big’ and ‘mountain’, not counting the characters for the numbers one to five. Ha, ‘not counting’ and numbers…geddit?

Unless this thing rights itself (hopefully, it’s not a weird virus written by someone who understands Chinese characters), I don’t think I can add photos to every post as I had initially intended to do. ;-(
