The Journey to KL (8th Dec)

Black and White

Let’s see if I can remember that far back. I set my phone alarm clock for 8:40am. The bus was scheduled to leave at 10:30am. Did the usual breakfast routine, had some sausages on toast and plain water.

Arrived at the bus station around 10am. Sat on a bench and waited. Looked around and saw that the wall was white and the pillar was black, so I took two shots. You can never know when there’ll be a Black and White (Colour) challenge again at CY. So I sat and waited. Dad saw a friend waiting for the bus too and spoke to him. 10:30am came and went. Then, at 11am, there was an announcement for us to board a bus. They had merged two trips into one bus (10:30am and 11am) to fill the seats. Hasn’t been the first time they did that.

The bus finally left the station at 11:33am. Stopped for lunch at the Chendor Rest Area (they have stalls selling food and souvenirs there) around 1:20pm. We left after half and hour. It rained along the way and the cardigan I brought along didn’t help at all. Thank goodness the air-conditioning vents could be shut. I shot clouds while the bus was on the move, luckily for me, the windows were quite clean.

Slept for a few minutes every once in a while. Passed by an accident scene. There was shattered glass scattered across the road and I saw a motorbike lying on its side. I was looking for the victim, and it only hit me after we passed by the scene that the black plastic sheet placed over something on the motorbike as actually covering the victim. I had been wondering why someone would place a bundle of something on the bike and cover it with a black plastic sheet.

We arrived at the Putra bus station just before 7pm. It was raining cats and dogs as soon as the bus reached the station. The clouds were dark and ominous and there were flashes of lightning. My brother-in-law and nephew were at a shopping mall across the street. We obviously couldn’t go there with our bags in the rain. We eventually got into the car when my brother-in-law drove to the side of the bus station.
